The family run 4* Superior hotel in the heart of Heilbronn has a rich history to look back upon.
In 1952, the foundation stone for the Insel hotel was laid on the “Hefenweiler” – the Neckar Island. Willy Meyer has recognised the potential of this location in the middle of the city very early and the building was then completed by 1959. Heilbronn had its first prestigious and centrally located city hotel.
In 1970, Hans-Georg and Gisela Meyer expanded the hotel.
TRADITION MEETS MODERNITY – A SUCCESSFUL SYMBIOSIS…
Today, the 4* hotel is led and shaped by the two granddaughters of the founder.
The modernisation of the hotel is done by both of them with a very fine touch to keep the original charm and spirit of the building. The lobby, bar and restaurant have already been renovated with a great love for detail. A combination of antiquities full of history and modern elements creates a homely yet exclusive ambience for our guests.

SIT BACK AND RELAX…
Relax in the small but mighty wellness oasis.
There is a sauna, swimming pool and fitness room surrounded by a beautiful park, leaving nothing to be desired. All that with a nice view on nature and the Neckar (river).
Our swimming pool opens at 6.30 am every morning for the little swim before breakfast.
Our sauna is heated up every day from 5 pm.
Bathrobes are always available for our guests on request.
Just let us know and we happily deliver the bathrobes to your room.
STAY ACTIVE…
For those that like to stay active, we have a fitness room with elliptical trainer, bicycle ergometer and a multifunctional gym tower. The nearby park is also very inviting for activities on a nice day.

Getting here, parking, and accessibility
ARRIVE AND RELAX…
Our hotel has a secure parking deck with a barrier and a hotel garage with over 85 parking spaces.
From there, you can easily reach all public areas and rooms by elevator or stairs.
Our parking deck is partially covered, so your vehicle is protected – and larger vehicles can also be parked here with ease.
Our hotel garage also has two charging stations for electric vehicles.
If you are arriving by train, we are only 400 m away from the main station.
We also cater for our cycling guests: we provide secure parking for your bikes free of charge.
